How we work alongside hospice
When a family chooses hospice, a medical team takes charge of comfort — nurses, a physician, medications, equipment, a chaplain. What hospice cannot provide is someone in the home hour after hour. That is the gap we fill, quietly and dependably.

What this service does not include
We are a non-medical agency, licensed by the State of Texas for Personal Assistance Services (#020448). Our caregivers do not administer medications — including comfort medications — manage symptoms, operate medical equipment, or make any medical decision. All of that belongs to the hospice team, and we follow their guidance in the home. We believe saying this clearly is part of caring for a family well: everyone at the bedside should know exactly who does what.

What this costs
We publish our rates — most agencies don’t. Two things to know before you compare: our rate is one flat hourly rate around the clock, and it does not increase when care needs increase. There are no “levels of care” here.

Questions families ask
Do you replace hospice care?
No, and we never would. Hospice provides the medical side — nurses, physician oversight, comfort medications, equipment, chaplains, and social workers. Hospice visits, though, are periodic. We are a non-medical Personal Assistance Services agency (Texas license #020448), and our caregivers fill the long hours between those visits with presence, personal care, and support for the family.
Can your caregiver give comfort medications?
No. Comfort medications are managed by the hospice nurse and given by the people hospice has instructed, usually family. Our caregivers can remind, watch the clock, and call the hospice line the moment something changes — but they never administer medication. We say this plainly because at this stage, clarity is a kindness.
Can someone stay overnight?
Yes. Overnight presence is the most requested form of this care — a caregiver awake and nearby so the family can finally sleep. We also provide 24-hour coverage with rotating caregivers when families want someone present at all times.
What does the caregiver actually do at the bedside?
Quiet, human things. Keeping your loved one clean, dry, and comfortable. Offering sips and small bites when they are wanted. Reading aloud, playing familiar music, or simply sitting close so no one is alone. And around the edges — laundry, dishes, and meals for a family that has no bandwidth left for any of it.
Can you also support us in a hospital or facility?
Yes. Our caregivers provide bedside presence in private homes, hospitals, and healthcare facilities, and many families use our sitter service so someone is with their loved one when visiting hours, work, or distance keep family away.
How quickly can support begin?
Often within 24 hours, and we treat these calls with urgency. The in-home assessment is free, there are no contracts, and you may change or stop the schedule at any time. Families in hospice measure time differently, and we plan around that.
