Is this the right kind of care?
If any of these sound familiar, this service is probably the right fit:
- Standing up from bed or a chair now takes two tries and a nearby wall
- There has been a fall or a near-fall in the last few months
- Your parent grips furniture to cross the room instead of using the walker
- A husband or wife is doing the lifting, and their back is paying for it
- Fear of falling has shrunk your parent's world to one or two rooms
What transfer and mobility assistance includes
Most falls at home happen during a transition — getting out of bed, up from the toilet, in or out of the shower. A trained, background-checked caregiver is there for exactly those moments.
- Safe transfers — steady, unhurried help from bed, chairs, the toilet, the shower bench, and the car, using proper body mechanics
- Walking support — a hand or standby spotting on stairs, thresholds, and longer walks, with the walker or cane actually in use
- High-risk hours covered — mornings, evenings, and bathroom trips, when unsteadiness is worst
- Clear pathways — rugs, cords, and clutter moved out of walking routes on every visit
- Repositioning comfort — help shifting position in bed or a chair for clients who sit or lie for long stretches
What this service does not include
We are a non-medical Personal Assistance Services agency, Texas license #020448. Our caregivers are not physical therapists and do not design exercise programs, assess gait, or provide rehabilitation — that comes from a licensed therapist under a doctor's order. And we will not promise that falls will never happen; no honest agency can. What we provide is trained support at the moments that matter, alongside the therapy team, with anything concerning reported to your family the same day.
How families use it
A common schedule is a morning visit — out of bed, bathroom, dressed, breakfast — and an evening visit to reverse it. The care plan is built around your parent's routine, so the help lands in the windows where falls actually happen. As needs grow, hours can grow, but the rate does not: we have no levels-of-care pricing, and evenings cost the same as mornings. We match a caregiver to your parent, and you can request a different match any time. A free in-home assessment sets it all up, often with care starting within 24 hours.

What this costs
We publish our rates — most agencies don’t. Two things to know before you compare: our rate is one flat hourly rate around the clock, and it does not increase when care needs increase. There are no “levels of care” here.

Questions families ask
Can a caregiver prevent my mother from falling?
No one can honestly promise that, and you should be wary of any agency that does. What a trained caregiver can do is lower the risk — steady support during transfers, a hand nearby while walking, clear walkways, and help at the high-risk moments like nighttime bathroom trips. Fewer risky moments alone means fewer chances for a fall.
What kinds of transfers do caregivers help with?
Bed to standing, chair and couch, toilet and shower, and in and out of the car. Caregivers use proper body mechanics and follow the approach your parent's therapist recommends, keeping each move slow, planned, and unhurried.
My father needs two people or a mechanical lift. Can you help?
That depends on his situation, and we will be honest at the assessment rather than overpromise. If his needs call for equipment or staffing we cannot safely provide, we will say so and point you to the right resource.
Do you work with physical therapists?
Yes, alongside them — never instead of them. Therapy comes from a home health agency under a doctor's order. Our caregivers cover the hours between those visits, encourage the walking the therapist assigned, and report changes your family should know about.
Can we schedule help just for the risky times of day?
Yes, and that is exactly how many families use this service. A morning visit covers getting up, washed, dressed, and fed; an evening visit covers dinner and getting safely into bed. Those two windows are where most falls happen, and both visits are billed at the same flat hourly rate.
Will the rate rise as my parent needs more hands-on help?
No. Hands-on transfer help is precisely where levels-of-care agencies raise prices. We do not use care levels at all — your hourly rate stays the same as needs change, and only the hours you choose set the monthly cost.
