A local company with two names on the door

Senior Care of North Texas is not a franchise. It is a locally owned agency, run by two owners you can actually reach, right here in North Texas.

When you call us, you are not calling a national call center. You are calling a Texas company owned by Texans, licensed by the State of Texas to provide non-medical Personal Assistance Services — License #020448. That difference shows up in every decision we make, from how we price care to who answers the phone.

Who owns the company

Senior Care of North Texas is locally owned by Rhodes Holdings, LLC. Two co-owners run it day to day.

Thomas, co-owner

Thomas was born and raised in Dallas. He is a serial entrepreneur — he has spent his working life building and running businesses, and he brings that same care for doing things right to this one. Because he grew up here, the families we serve are not customers in a territory. They are neighbors.

Ryan, co-owner

Ryan leads community and referral relations. He is the person hospital discharge planners, social workers, and senior living staff across North Texas know by name. If a professional refers your family to us, there is a good chance they met Ryan first — and that they refer to us because he follows through.

Because the owners are local, problems get solved fast. If something about your care is not right, the person responsible for fixing it lives here, works here, and answers to your family — not to a corporate office in another state.

What we do — and what we don't

We provide non-medical in-home care, formally called Personal Assistance Services. Our caregivers help with the tasks of daily life: bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, errands, transportation, and steady companionship. We provide that help in private residences, in hospitals, and in healthcare facilities.

Here is what we don't do, said plainly: we do not provide skilled nursing, wound care, injections, or medical treatment of any kind. If your loved one needs those services, they come from a home health or hospice provider — and our caregivers work alongside those teams every day. Many of our clients keep their doctor, their home health nurse, and their hospice team, and add us for the daily hands-on help those providers don't cover.

We say this up front because families deserve a straight answer about scope before they spend a dollar. If in-home personal assistance is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you on the first phone call.

Where we work

Our North Texas office sits near the center of the DFW metroplex, which keeps us close to the families we serve across the region. From there we serve two markets:

  • Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex — Coppell, Irving, Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Grapevine, Southlake, Flower Mound, and dozens of surrounding cities. Call (214) 550-6533.
  • Gainesville and Cooke County — served by a local line at (940) 665-2999.

How we run the company

A few rules shape everything we do. They are simple, and most of the industry does not follow them.

  • One flat hourly rate. Days, evenings, and overnight hours all cost the same. No surcharges, no surprises on the invoice.
  • No "levels of care" pricing. Your rate does not go up when your loved one's needs increase. Ever. We publish our rates on our pricing page instead of hiding them behind a sales call.
  • A carefully matched caregiver. Every personal assistant is criminally background-checked, and you can request a different match at any time.
  • No long-term contracts. Care plans are built around your loved one's routine, and schedules can be adjusted as needs change. Couples receive a discount.
  • We handle the hard paperwork. If you have a long-term care insurance policy, we help you read it, file the claim, and get the benefits paid.

The first step is always the same: a free in-home assessment, with no obligation. We meet your loved one, build a plan together, and care can often start within 24 hours. If you would rather read about the process first, see how it works or why families choose us.

Why local ownership matters in home care

Home care is not a product. It is a relationship between your family, a caregiver, and the office standing behind that caregiver. When the office is a franchise reporting to a distant corporate parent, policies get written for the average client in the average market. Rates get tiered. Exceptions get harder.

When the office is owned by two people whose names are on the license, the incentives flip. Our reputation in North Texas is the whole business. Every referral from a discharge planner, every review from a family, every caregiver who stays with us — all of it depends on doing right by the client in front of us. That is not a slogan. It is simply how a small local company survives, and we think it is why families keep choosing us.

If you are comparing agencies this week, we want you to compare hard. Ask what happens to the rate when needs increase. Ask whether evenings and overnights cost more. Ask who owns the company and whether you could reach them. Then call us and ask the same things.
